A Million Rising for Children
In December' 2016, the Indian Nobel Laureate Kailash Satyarthi brought many world leaders and Nobel Laureates together for the cause of children in an unprecedented move. Under the umbrella of his organisation Kailash Satyarthi Children's Foundation and Bachpan Bachan Andolon in New Delhi, a global summit happened followed by a march that symbolically reaffirmed the World Leader's commitment to a world free of child labour and abuse. Backing his efforts, the Hon'ble President of India Pranab Mukherjee opened the doors of his house Rashtrapati Bhavan, and hosted the summit over two days - 10-11 December' 2016.
